I’m really not sure why anyone goes out to stores for the black Friday sale mayhem.

I mean, honestly, why do you want to fight all these people at 4 am just to get Toy Story 3 for $13? Sure, I have a friend who got a peacoat for $5. How long do you think that peacoat is going to last? I have a feeling is isn’t great quality or very warm. So, why don’t you just spend some money to buy a nice, high quality peacoat that will last 30 years?

Or maybe you are going out to get some trendy item that you know won’t be in style for more than a season, so you didn’t want to shell out the big bucks. Okay, fair. Why don’t you just shop at Forever 21 or H&M? Those stores have everything trendy for fantastic prices! Every day! That means no waking up early, no fighting with 20 people for the last item left, no long lines at the register.

Or, even better, sign up to have sales delivered to you! And not just lame sales, like those that come in the Sunday newspaper. Every day I get several emails with deals and sales on designer clothing and accessories, and even travel and hotels. I can get Rock and Republic jeans, Brics bags, 3.1 Phillip Lim apparel and soooo much more without taking off my pajamas. And there’s a new deal every day.

I’m sure there are hundreds of websites to sign up for deals by email. Some of the ones I like are Gilt Group, Beyond the Rack, Swirl and Daily Candy, RueLaLa, as well as from Lucky Magazine.

If getting shopping deals every single day is too tempting for you, at least just shop online. Almost every retail store is having a sale online. You can check out a list here.
